What is a 8 Seater?
An 8 seater is a licensed minibus carrying up to eight passengers with eight large cases, from £80. It is the largest private hire vehicle we run.
Split eight ways, a £80 transfer is about £10 each, which is why group holidays and sports teams book this one almost without considering the alternatives.
Eight seats means eight seats. Under UK licensing an eight seater carries eight passengers plus the driver, and infants in arms still occupy a seat. For nine to sixteen, our 16 seater minibus takes the whole party in one vehicle, so nobody travels separately.
Who it suits
Moving a full group in one vehicle
The case for an 8 seater airport transfer is arithmetic and timing. From Heathrow to central London, two saloons for six or eight people come to £160 against £120 for one 8 seater, and the two cars arrive at different times.
It also takes bulk luggage properly. Eight cases is a genuine eight, not eight if some of them are soft bags, and there is room left for hand luggage on top.

One 8 seater or two saloons?
Six passengers in two saloons is from around £140. The same six in one 8 seater is from £80, and they travel together.
The case for two saloons is comfort over a long distance, since a minibus rides higher and firmer than a car. On most runs of an hour or less the 8 seater costs less than two saloons and keeps the group together. Past two hours, and particularly with an older party, ask us to quote both.
