Taxiqo ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and chauffeur services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. It applies to all customers, website visitors, and anyone who contacts us.

1. Who we are

Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Account information — login credentials and saved preferences if you create an account.
Communications — messages, enquiries, and feedback you send us.
Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

Accept and fulfil your bookings and arrange your journey;
Take payment and send confirmations, receipts, and journey updates;
Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
Track flights and adjust pickups where relevant;
Improve our website, services, and safety standards;
Send you service messages and, where you have consented, marketing communications;
Comply with our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations.

4. Legal bases for processing

We process your data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the journey you booked); legitimate interests (to run, improve, and secure our business in a way that does not override your rights); consent (for optional marketing and non-essential cookies); and legal obligation (where the law requires us to keep or disclose information).

5. Sharing your information

We share your data only where necessary, with: our professional chauffeurs and partner operators to complete your journey; our payment processor; IT, hosting, and communications providers acting on our instructions; and authorities or regulators where we are legally required to do so. We never sell your personal information.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to function correctly, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings and our cookie notice. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Booking and financial records are typically retained for up to six years in line with UK tax law; marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit, access controls, and trusted, security-vetted suppliers.

9. Your rights

Subject to certain conditions, you have the right to access your data, correct it, request its deletion, restrict or object to its processing, and request data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. International transfers

Where any provider processes data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, so your information remains protected.

11. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children except where a child is a named passenger on a booking made by an adult.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
