The connection nobody plans for. Direct terminal to terminal, one fixed fare, and a driver watching your inbound flight.
A Heathrow to Gatwick taxi transfer is a booked private hire journey between the two airports at a price agreed before travel. Taxiqo runs it as a fixed £95 in a saloon, terminal door to terminal door.
The two London airports sit on opposite sides of the capital, 45 miles apart by road, connected by the western and southern arc of the M25 between junctions 15 and 7. Allow 75 to 110 minutes. The wide range is not padding: this stretch of motorway carries the worst of the M25's congestion around the M4, M3 and M23 interchanges, and the difference between 04:00 and 17:00 is genuinely half an hour.
Almost nobody books this journey by choice. It is booked because a connection landed at the wrong airport, because a return leg was ticketed separately, or because a cancellation was rebooked out of Gatwick at short notice. That shapes what matters: knowing the time it takes, and knowing the price will not move while you are already having a bad day.
What follows covers the fare in every vehicle class, how pickup works at both ends, what the price includes, how a car compares with the coach and the two-leg rail route, and how to book. The questions at the end deal with journey time, the rail route, minimum connection times, the coach and delayed inbound flights.
There is no direct train between Heathrow and Gatwick, and that single fact decides most of these bookings. Rail means a leg into London, a cross-city transfer with your luggage, and a second leg out again: at least two trains, often three, and around 1 hour 30 if every connection lands.
The coach is direct and cheaper, but it runs to a timetable rather than to your flight, stops at multiple terminals along the way, and a missed departure means waiting for the next one with a check-in deadline approaching.
One fare covers the vehicle and everyone in it. It does not change with the time of day, the traffic, or how long you wait.

Heathrow Airport has four passenger terminals spread across a large site, and Gatwick has two joined by a shuttle. Getting the terminal right at both ends is the difference between a smooth transfer and twenty minutes of walking.
We take your flight numbers at booking and work out the terminals from them, so you do not have to. If your inbound terminal changes on the day, the driver is redirected before you land.
Every charge the journey creates is already inside the quoted figure, which is why the amount at booking and the amount at the end are the same.
The coach is the cheapest way to do this and takes 70 to 90 minutes when the M25 behaves. If you are travelling alone, light, and have four hours of connection time, it is a perfectly sensible choice.
Rail is the slowest and the most fragile: around 1 hour 30 across two or three trains, with your luggage, through central London, at whatever time of day your connection dictates. It is rarely the right answer for this particular journey.
A car is the right answer when the connection is tight, when there are two or more of you, when you are carrying checked luggage, or when the inbound flight is the sort that might land late. Four people sharing a £95 fare pay about £24 each, and arrive without changing anything.
Give us both flight numbers if you have them. The inbound tells us when to be at Heathrow; the outbound tells us how much time we are working with, and whether the connection is realistic.
Put Heathrow as the pickup and Gatwick as the destination. The fare returns instantly and does not change afterwards.
The inbound number is what we track. If it lands late, the pickup moves with it at no extra charge.
Count the cases rather than the people. A saloon takes two; four cases need an estate or larger.
You get written confirmation with the fare and the driver's details. Pay by card, cash or business account.
Very easy to book and the price was clear from the start. The driver was professional and the vehicle was clean. I would definitely use TAXIQO again.
